Companies whose activities include the transport of dangerous goods by road, rail, inland waterways, and sea require a dangerous goods officer in accordance with the German Dangerous Goods Ordinance (GbV) and the ADR regulations.
Air freight is not included here, as different regulations apply there that do not need to be further controlled by other legal regulations.
This requirement can be waived if certain conditions are met.
